Provision of project management and co-ordination services for the ‘Highland Pictish Trail’ project, as part of a team led by Rowan Tree Consulting Ltd. Taking the lead on the evaluation component.
Gateshead Council
Evaluating the outcomes of Gateshead Archive: The People’s Archive, working in a team led by Taylor Nisbet
The Ellisland Trust
Working with the custodians of this important Robert Burns site at Ellisland Farm. This is the house he built for his family and lived in during his later years, writing many of his most well-known works; we are delivering an asset review/options appraisal (with Ian Mitchell Davidson and Janet Mclean) and a governance review (with Miles Harrison) to help the museum operation with its future resilience and sustainability.
Kilmartin
A project involving consultation and advocacy work, with academics and with the community, with case studies based on designated sites and collections elsewhere, working with Taylor Nisbet Ltd.
Alternatives WD
Ongoing contract to assist them with a full organisational reconfiguration, to take in new social enterprise initiatives.
John O'Groats Mill
Governance training and Board skills audit; input to business plan and feasibility study, as part of team led by Alan Jones Associates.
Highland Museums Forum
Working with Rowan Tree Consulting, Kirkhill Associates, Sandy Anderson and Steve Westbrook – resilience study for 19 independent museums.
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses
Assisting them with improving their resilience going forward and with their forward planning.
Cairngorms National Park Authority
Developing an interpretive and marketing strategy for Badenoch (with Rowan Tree Consulting Ltd, Interpretaction, Digital Made Easy and Form By Thought). Also working (with STR Ltd and Rowan Tree Consulting) on the development of an alternative tourist route through Badenoch, considering comparators from elsewhere as case studies.
Skylark IX Recovery Trust
Assisting with business planning and community consultation to inform their successful Round 2 application to Heritage Lottery Fund, (working with Helen Terry and Janet Mclean). Completion of all documentation and full HLF application, resulting in £404,100 grant and sundry other funding/in-kind, totalling £700,000
Tarbat Historic Trust
Working with them to seek corporate sponsorship funding; also acting as their ongoing mentor and Curator for Museums Accreditation.
Scottish Fisheries Museum Ltd
Working with Miles Harrison – Governance, management and capacity-building study.
Duneaton Community Council
Undertaking consultation on community priorities (with Taylor Nisbet Ltd).
Battle of Falkirk
Reviewing their business plan and feasibility study, updating and amending these as needed.
